WELCOME
to the International Feldenkrais Federation Distribution Center (DC) website. Thank you for joining us. This site is exclusively for learning about and ordering IFF Professional Educational Materials. For other IFF information, visit the IFF Practitioner website.

The International Feldenkrais Federation (IFF) is the umbrella membership organization of guilds and associations around the world. In 1992, the IFF committed to making the original teachings of Moshe Feldenkrais available to the expanding profession of global practitioners. Later, the IFF Distribution Center was established as a separate entity.

The DC is located in Portland, Oregon, USA. It is the goal of the DC to offer the global Feldenkrais community the very best service. Please feel welcome to email us any comments you may have.

The DC offers a growing body of Feldenkrais professional education materials. The development of Moshe's work spanned more than 30 years and is authentically preserved in an extensive collection of videos and translated publications. For the professional Feldenkrais community, access to these original teachings is invaluable. This work provides a dynamic connection to the master-mind of the Method, bridging a gap of knowledge that might otherwise be passed on only through interpretation.

Alexander Yanai Volumes.
This work includes the translation of nearly 600 ATM lessons taught in Hebrew. When complete, the set of published works will include twelve Alexander Yanai volumes and more than 4,500 pages of original teachings.

Amherst Transcripts.
Moshe's last classes were taught at Amherst University in Boston, Massachusetts in 1980 and 1981. The transcripts feature his verbatim teachings. Each volume contains two weeks of material. Click Here to see which weeks are currently available.

San Francisco Training.
Although this was a large training, it was an intimate training. Moshe was learning how to work with American students and so explained quite a lot about what he was doing. Unique among his trainings, Awareness Through Movement lessons and Functional Integration instruction unfolded together with the philosophical and theoretical basis of the method--brought forward in answers, explanations, and stories. 348 pages, spiral bound.

FI dvd Vol 1: Ken -- 5 lessons on 2 dvd's (September 2006 release).
Volume 1 of the FI dvd series features 5 lessons with Ken, a man who has had a brain tumour, surgery to remove it, and has plasticity in his left hand and leg. Jerry Karzan, Feldenkrais Trainer, organizer of the Amherst training, and the foremost commentator on these lessons (which he was instrumental in getting recorded), has generously provided commentary on each lesson in the series. These commentaries illustrate how the lessons use many of Feldenkrais's strategies such as making movement from both ends, using developmental patterns, ‘neurological diplomacy’ and using rollers. Feldenkrais critiques himself at the end of lesson 4 titling it ‘How Not to Do a Lesson.’ The entire series serves as a valuable learning tool to develop conceptual and practical understanding of Functional Integration as demonstrated by the originator of the process.

FI dvd Vol 2: Margaret, Merrill and Will -- 3 lessons on 2 dvd's (September 2006 release)
The lessons in Volume 2 of the FI dvd series demonstrate Feldenkrais's skill responding to people who have diverse needs. Margaret is a woman with ‘foot drop‘ as a result of a difficult spine surgery; Merrill is a ballet dancer with hip pain; and Will is a chiropractor, a student in the Amherst training at the time, who had had his arm reattached after an accident. Trainer Deborah Bowes, who has used the lessons in her teaching and wrote about the Merrill lesson in her Trainer application, provides background and thoughts on the Margaret and Merrill lessons. Will Wells, experienced Feldenkrais practitioner and the student/client/participant in the ‘Will’ lesson, provides a unique insight – and an untold part of the story – of this important example of Feldenkrais's work. In every lesson, Feldenkrais explores what is happening for the client, develops a lesson that speaks precisely to their circumstances, and creates ingenious was of continuing and integrating the lesson in different positions.

From The Archive Audio Vol 1: Moshe Feldenkrais in Rotterdam 1976 (MP3 format)
In this 1976 workshop Dr. Feldenkrais teaches seven classic lessons that range from simple to challenging. Over the course of the workshop he lectures on health, movement, posture, habits, learning and democracy. There is quite a bit of engagement with his students to get across his unique approach to improving human function. In addition to experiencing Dr. Feldenkrais's teaching, you will hear how he presented his work to the public, what he stressed, and how he explained what he was doing.

These recordings are in MP3 format; they can be played via a computer, digital audio player and recent model CD or DVD players.

To keep costs low this primary source material, in its complete form, has been transferred from the source tapes without editing; the entire 13 hours fits on one disc. To facilitate use, ATM lessons are listed and can be located by timings.

From The Archive Audio Vol 2: The Feldenkrais-Pribram Discussions - San Francisco 1975 (MP3 format)

Thirty years after they took place, the IFF Distribution Center is pleased to publish the almost 5 hours of discussion between Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais and Dr. Karl Pribram. A bonus recording of Dr. Pribram's 1987 keynote address to the North American Guild Conference is included in this set of five mp3 audio files on one CD.

Host Thomas Hanna describes these discussions as fireside chats between Moshe and Karl containing an extraordinary freshness and humor. He frames the material as explorations by two theoretical minds in neurophysiology to generally speculate about general issues and develop a framework around questions of human function and design.

The talks range widely covering the basics in neurophysiology, the "Image of Achievement;" Function and Structure; the Cortex and awareness; Concepts of 'Energy'; Inhibition in the Nervous system and research questions that arise from the practice of the Feldenkrais Method.

Moshe Feldenkrais Functional Integration Videos.
This collection includes six video tapes of his teachings with five children, providing more than five hours of live training.

Gaby Yaron Videos.
As one of Moshe's first assistant trainers, Gaby demonstrates her unique teachings in these videos. Two sets, which comprise seven tapes, are currently available with over nine hours of demonstration.
